I want to learn to decorate china thimbles with picture transfers. Where can I learn more?

I’ve started collecting thimbles with different pictures on them, made by people overseas. It’s turning out to be not-so-cheap. I’d like to learn to do it myself, with cartoon characters on the thimbles to save myself money. I’d also like to decorate thimbles with Australiana things (well-known Aussie people/tourist destinations, etc) as this is a vastly-undersourced market and I might be able to make a little money to support my own collection. Are there any books/web-sites/companies, etc I could get more information from? Any help gratefully received.
